Founded in 1993 by Iain Burgess and Peter Deimel, Black Box is a residential recording studio located in the French countryside of the Anjou region, close to the Loire Valley. Neatly situated between Angers, Rennes and Nantes ( an hour and a half by train from Paris ), access to rail and air transport is close at hand. In a relaxed, rural environment we offer an ideal, well equipped studio for your project.

We have an eclectic mix of vintage recording equipment based around our Flickinger recording console dating from 1969 and a nice backline collection. You can come to record with Peter or bring your own engineer.

All independent engineers are welcome!
