The Drum Room

When you enter the studio building, you will first find yourself in our 40m2 drum room. Featuring a high ceiling peaking at 8m, stone walls and a wood floor, this room has a dense and lively sound.

It is very good for drums providing impact and sustain while remaining smooth in the top end. Also beautiful sounding for acoustic instruments which want to be surrounded with some ambience.

The liveness and decay of the room can be dampened and reduced if needed. The Drum Room connects to the Main Recording Room, through wide sliding glass doors.

The Main Recording Room

The main recording room (140m2) is located in the center of the building. It contains two acoustically different spaces, one that is live and reflective, the other which has been treated to obtain a dry and controlled sound. There is no physical separation between the two areas, but by varying the placement of your instruments, you get a wide choice of different ambience.

The reflective area gets used a lot for electric guitar. It also works well on any source needing a subtle room ambience, like upright piano. The dry area is very controlled sounding, perfect for creating an intimate atmosphere. Super dry drums, vocals, really anything which wants to feel like it’s on the tip of your nose.

On the other side of the main playing area you‘ll find an iso booth, useful if you want to record a quiet source, vocals, while your amps are full-on. Again, also very dry and controlled sounding. Visual connection is assured by large windows, tie-lines into the booth are provided.

The headphone monitor mix is easily adjustable for each musician with dedicated 6-channel submixers. From here, the playing area connects to the control room through wide sliding glass doors. Again we made sure that the musician-musician-engineer sightlines are clear.
